==2v2 FORMAT==

Separate, showcase-style prelims for waacking and locking. Waacking prelims will be judged by the two waacking judges. Locking prelims will be judged by the two locking judges.*

The top 8 dancers from each category will be randomly paired into 8 waacker/locker teams.

2v2 tournament rounds to finals. All four judges will judge these rounds.

*Battlers may sign up for both categories but may only qualify for ONE. When signing up, state your preference case you score high enough to make top 8 in both categories.

==ROOKIE 7-TO-SMOKE FORMAT*==

Showcase-style prelims for each category. Prelims will occur on the evening of FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 16. Please plan accordingly. Prelims will be judged by event organizers.

Qualifying dancers from the prelims will participate in the 7-to-smoke competitions during the main event. The waacking 7-to-smoke will be judged by the two waacking judges, and the locking 7-to-smoke will be judged by the two locking judges.

*As a general definition, we consider "rookies" to either 1) have fewer than three years of SUSTAINED training in these styles OR 2) not consider waacking or locking their main styles and do not regularly compete in these categories. We leave it up to you to decide your status, so please use your best judgment in signing up.
